Herzberg’s Two Factor Theory

According to Herzberg’s, satisfaction and dissatisfaction are not opposite poles of one dimension, they are two separate dimensions. Motivators and dissatisfaction by hygiene factions affect satisfaction

Herzberg's point is that if you want to motivate people, you have to be concerned on the job itself & not simply with the surroundings.

Two factors of Herzberg ‘S Theory or as so on
1.   Motivation factors
2.   Hygiene factor
      
Motivational factors
These are the intrinsic factor such as achievement, job itself  recognition, responsibility advancement,. These factors individuals  positive feelings about works these factors are capable of having positive effects on job satisfaction often resulting in an increase in ones total output any decrease in these factor will not affects the their level of satisfaction.

Factors lead to job satisfaction (Motivators) are
1.   Achievement
2.   Recognition
3.   Work itself,
4.   Responsibility
5.   Advancement

Hygiene factors
These three factors include company policy and administration , technical supervision, salary , fringe benefits working condition and inter personal relations these are extrinsic part of jobs but they are related to conditions under which a job is performed these factors do not affect workers output but they only prevent losses workers performance due to work restrictions. These factors are necessary to maintain a reasonable level of satisfaction to employees . But any cut below the level will dissatisfy the employee.

Factors which may prevent dissatisfaction (Hygiene) are
1.   Company policy & administration,
2.   Supervision
3.   Working condition, Interpersonal relations,
4.   Salary,
