Power

Power is the basic energy needed to accomplish tasks by mobilizing support of people. It is the capacity to translate intention into reality and sustain it. As a basic source of energy power revitalizes the  human system by realizing initiatives and directing them towards purposeful action at individual and organizational level.

Sources of power
Power is the ability to exert influence in the organization beyond authority, which is derived from position. The supervisor’s personal power could include job knowledge, personal influence, inter personal skills, and ability to get results, empathetic ability, persuasive ability, and physical strength.
